Basso has significantly improved the bike's aerodynamic profile, achieving an 18% reduction in frontal area compared to the previous model. This speed is complemented by a redesigned fork and a stiffer rear triangle that prioritizes explosive power transfer, while the front end remains tuned to absorb the chatter of unpaved roads.

The geometry has been updated to offer a more approachable fit without sacrificing its racing soul. By increasing the stack height by 5mm, Basso allows riders more flexibility in their cockpit setup—including the option to run a more aggressive "slammed" stem without requiring spacers. To handle increasingly technical courses, the frame now supports massive tire clearances, fitting up to 52mm in the front and 50mm in the rear.
